My Project

Every middle school is filled with stories waiting to be told, but too many of them go unheard. WIRED Media Club will empower students in grades 6–8 to capture those stories while building friendships, celebrating creativity, and discovering that every voice matters.

WIRED is more than a media club, it is a creative community where students discover, document, and celebrate the people and moments that make our campus special.

Through interviews, feature stories, podcasts, audio storytelling, and video production, students will create meaningful content for our student media website, allowing families and our community to experience school through the eyes and voices of our students.

Our motto says it best: "Don't Just Watch It. Create It. Get WIRED!" To us, getting WIRED isn't just about technology. It's about connecting through creativity, collaboration, and storytelling.

Not every student wants to stand in front of a camera. Some would rather operate it, edit a video, write a script, record a podcast, produce an audio story, ask thoughtful questions, or help shape a story behind the scenes. In WIRED Media Club, every role matters, and every student has the opportunity to discover where they shine.

The requested Sony ZV-1F camera, DJI Mic 2 wireless microphone system, professional tripod, and high-speed SD memory card will give students the tools to produce interviews, feature stories, podcasts, audio stories, and videos they can proudly share with a real audience. More than creating media, students will build confidence, strengthen communication skills, develop meaningful friendships, and discover that they don't have to be the loudest voice to make a lasting impact.
