Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Having a fully functional Farm to Table garden and cooking class is such an exciting elective, and having the necessary tools to enhance my students' experience in our classroom kitchen makes all the garden work we do worth it! In our class, we work hard, and enjoy the fruits of our labor (literally), by harvesting, planning, and preparing our own organic and healthy meals.

Your donation goes toward new and fun ways to enjoy our garden treats; imagine middle schoolers harvesting strawberries for smoothies, basil for homemade pesto, cucumbers for hand rolled sushi, and drying and crushing our own herb blends and teas.

The skills the kids will learn, along with the right tools for the job, are ones they can learn and use not just immediately, but for life. This project helps kids learn to grow, prepare, and eat healthy meals well into their adulthood. Thank you for helping kids engage in the complete farm to table experience.
