Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Behavior chart and job bulletin board will be used to give students a visually enhanced way to view what their role is in the class and a reminder to how to behave in a classroom without direct feedback from the teacher. Filing cabinet will be used to store classroom supplies and a space where students can easily grab their missing supplies and create autonomous classroom. Students will also use magnetic paper pockets to safely store their writing assignments which is a main focus of our school for next coming year. Also, the abacus will greatly enhance student motivation to learn tenth and hundredth place value as I struggled to teach the concept last school year and believe these manipulative will aid the students greatly. Various hooks are needed to create a classroom where students can safely store their belongings without their stuff being a potential hazard and pencil cases will help students store their school supplies in one neat place.
