My Project

My elementary students in our new specialized (C-setting) classroom are resilient, determined, and eager learners. They face unique physical, sensory, and developmental challenges every day, yet they meet every small victory with immense joy. As their school occupational therapist, my goal is to break down physical and sensory barriers so they can fully access their education, feel safe, and thrive alongside their peers.

To welcome these incredible students into our brand-new classroom setting, we need various sensory, fine motor, and adaptive tools to support their individual physical and learning needs.

The supplies in this project will directly shape an accessible, calm environment where students can self-regulate, build hand strength, and engage in daily activities comfortably. Having these items right at the start of the school year will allow us to immediately tailor the environment to their needs, foster independence, and create a warm space where every student feels supported to learn and grow.
