My Project

My students are energetic, curious, and wonderfully unique learners who deserve more than a traditional, sit-still classroom environments. Many of them benefit from movement, flexible structure, and opportunities to engage their bodies as well as their minds.

This project will provide flexible seating options including bounce balls, wiggle stools, floor seating, and fidgets to create a more comfortable and responsive learning environment.

These items will allow students to move, shift, and choose items that help support their focus and self-regulation. Instead of spending energy trying to sit still, they’ll be able to direct that energy into their learning.

My goal is to create a classroom space that meets students where they are; one that supports attention, reduces frustration, and increases engagement. With flexible seating, I expect to see improved focus, longer periods of on-task behavior, and a greater sense of ownership over their learning environment.

By giving students choices in how they learn best, we’re not just changing the furniture; we’re creating a classroom where every child has the opportunity to succeed.
