Books and More Books!

Help me give my students a love of reading. Students made requests they would love to see in my class library and continuations of series they already love. I chose books at different levels for my K-5 students.

My Project

My students are learning to navigate school while also learning a new language. Picture books & graphic novels allow them to connect visuals to the English they are becoming immersed in every day. Illustrations provide context clues that help students understand unfamiliar words, follow a story & build comprehension without language becoming a barrier. These books will help increase vocabulary, build confidence & encourage independent reading. Most importantly, engaging, accessible books give my students the opportunity to experience the joy of reading while creating a gateway to becoming lifelong readers.
