Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are curious, energetic, and full of potential, and they come to school each day ready to learn in multiple ways. Many of my learners are English language learners, and they are working hard to build confidence as they develop reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills in a new language. I love how they support each other, celebrate small wins, and never give up even when learning feels challenging.

This project will help me create a classroom full of visual, hands-on learning tools that make language more accessible for all students.

With an Epson EcoTank ET-2800 printer, I will be able to produce high-quality, color picture vocabulary cards, anchor charts, and visual supports that help students connect words to meaning. These visuals are especially important for my multilingual learners because they provide concrete references that support comprehension and communication across all subject areas.

The laminator and laminating sheets will allow me to make these resources durable and reusable, so students can interact with them throughout the year during centers, small groups, and independent practice. Cardstock and printing supplies will help ensure that materials are vibrant, clear, and engaging, while storage bins will keep everything organized and easy for students to access.

Together, these resources will transform my classroom into a visual learning environment where vocabulary is not just memorized, but seen, touched, and understood. This will help my students build stronger language skills, increase confidence, and participate more fully in classroom learning every day.
