My Project

Teaching little humans is what I was born to do. After teaching for 30 years you would think that I would be burnt out but everyday these little people remind me why I love what I do. Preschool is the greatest place to be, although I am exhausted at the end of each day I always come back for more. My goal is that my children learn something new everyday and at the same time love coming to school. This project is for a light table with storage.

As Mr. Rogers used to say, "Play is serious learning." I chose these items specifically to enhance creativity and bring early STEM activities to life.

This table will illuminate materials, encourage children's innate curiosities, creativity and STEM skills (building, sorting, shapes) while allowing for quiet, individual, or small-group play, which supports emotional regulation. Light tables in preschool classrooms enhance learning by promoting fine motor skills, sensory exploration and focused engagement. It will help to make abstract concepts more concrete, supports diverse learning styles and create an inclusive learning environment where all children can shine.
