Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This project will provide Dog Man and Dork Diaries books in Spanish to inspire my Spanish-speaking students. Familiar, high-interest stories build confidence, improve comprehension, and spark a genuine love of reading. Adding these books will increase interest and opportunities in our classroom reading corner, inviting students to read independently every day. Reading in their home language helps students feel represented, successful, and motivated. For many students, these books will be their main opportunity to read for pleasure, practice skills, and grow as joyful, lifelong readers who truly love learning deeply.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
