Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our students are experiencing competitive sport for the first time ever when they play for us. They are learning to navigate competitive sport as well as social skills.

Being a Title I campus, there are a lot of underprivileged families in our area.

We don’t just teach skill, but life lessons that will stay with them for years to come. Being able to have a travel backpack with them when we go to other locations for sporting events, will not only help them focus on the game at hand, it will also help them feel more uniform and not have to worry about providing the backpack for themselves.

My goal is that my girls feel more motivated to compete because if they feel good, they will play good!
