Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I'm an ESL (English as a Second Language) teacher in Texas trying to rebuild my classroom library.

My students are English Language Learners from all over the world who love reading graphic novels (who doesn't?) because they're accessible and engaging, helping them make connections and build confidence in English.

Graphic novels are also the perfect bridge books for my students who are reluctant readers, as well as my students who may have previously experienced interrupted schooling and therefore don't have a strong literacy background.

The rotating and green bookshelf included will help make sure the books remain visible, accessible and well-organized all year long!
