This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Please consider donating to my seventh grade Honors English class as they read, annotate, and think critically about these two wonderful and challenging classics: John Steinbeck's The Pearl, and Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet. Getting great literature into the hands of a middle schooler isn't always easy, and keeping them inspired to read more in the age of tech is a monumental challenge, but these two greats have historically enthralled and captivated my students.

By donating to this project, you are giving my Honors ELA students, kids who have applied for, and self-selected a rigorous course, two classic and high-interest books to not just read, but annotate and keep for themselves.
