My Project

My students love coming to band because they get to create something together. It is rewarding to watch them encourage one another, celebrate their progress, and gain confidence as they learn new music. Every rehearsal is an opportunity for them to grow, not only as musicians, but also as teammates and leaders.

For clarinet and saxophone players, quality reeds are an essential part of making a good sound.

Unfortunately, they don't last very long. As reeds become worn or chipped, students have a harder time producing a clear tone, which can make learning new skills frustrating. Something as simple as a fresh reed can make a huge difference in how a student sounds and how confident they feel.

This project will provide new clarinet and saxophone reeds so my students have the supplies they need to be successful in rehearsals and performances. Having reliable reeds will allow them to focus on improving their tone, technique, and musical expression instead of struggling with equipment that has reached the end of its life.
