Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The Farm to Table class hosts the most earnest and engaged teenage farmers and chefs you are likely to come across. They love getting their hands dirty as they nurture and maintain our organic garden, whether it's mindfully helping baby praying mantises emerge from their egg, or harvesting ripe vegetable to plan a family style meal together.

These seventh and eighth grade teenagers have a blast in our school garden.

They are learning important lifelong lessons that can help them in their personal and educational lives, which include cross-curricular lessons from STEM to social emotional skills. The learning includes skills such as composting, planning a recipe, being mindful stewards of nature, and breaking bread with friends.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
