My students were so excited when the boxes arrived and could hardly wait to open them and get out all of our new STEM materials. We have been using these materials during our morning STEM stations, and they have quickly become some of our students' favorite activities. Your generosity has helped make our stations more exciting, engaging, and—most importantly—a playful way for young children to learn.\r\n\r\nIt has been wonderful to watch my students problem-solve and collaborate while using the new materials. With the Magnetic Marble Run, students work together to build different paths and then test them to see if the marble will successfully travel from the top to the bottom. When their design doesn't work, they talk about what they could change, rebuild it, and try again. This is amazing to see in Kindergarten! The Engineer a Coaster Activity Kit has created similar opportunities as students work together to design a coaster, test their ideas, and make adjustments when something doesn't work as planned. These experiences are helping my kindergarteners practice persistence, communication, creativity, and teamwork while having so much fun that they don't even realize how much they are learning!\r\n\r\nI am also excited to extend the impact of your donation beyond our kindergarten classroom. I plan to invite students from older grades to be our \"STEM buddies\" and join us in exploring and building with these materials. This will give my kindergarteners an opportunity to learn alongside older students, share ideas, and work together to solve challenges. Thank you for providing my students with materials that encourage curiosity, creativity, collaboration, and a love of learning.
