Our school pantry is now filled to the brim, and snacks are ready to be eaten in my counseling office, as well.\r\n\r\nI often have students come to school hungry. This not only impacts their ability to learn and think, but it affects their mood as well. When their mood is low, they don't love school. \r\n\r\nI had a student the day we unpacked the snacks, in my office not feeling well. When asked if she had any breakfast that morning, she answered no. It was a perfect time to get those snacks out and get her belly full, ensuring she could make it until lunchtime so she could fuel up for the afternoon. She really liked being able to choose something she liked, and was able to go back to class feeling much better.\r\n\r\nSo again, thank you for helping our school.
