In a world where photography happens all the time, and often without thought, it has been fun for us to play with polaroids. Many of the students are used to being able to take a picture over and over and then deleting any that don't quite fit the bill. Having to pose with intention and waiting to see the result with the polaroid has been so much fun.\r\n\r\nFun is of course one important element of learning, but even more so, this camera has encouraged creativity. I have challenged the students to capture \"major moments\" from the stories that they read. This has made them even more deeply connect with the characters, plots, and themes, while challenging them to capture the old cliche that \"a picture is worth 1,000 words.\"\r\n\r\nThe students have been able to keep their print-outs, and therefore they also have a keepsake from their beloved high school English course. None of this would have been possible without your generosity and support.
