Our students use these flexible seating options every day during independent reading, small-group literacy instruction, and collaborative learning activities. One of my favorite moments was watching a student who typically struggles to stay focused choose the standing desk during reading time and remain engaged throughout the entire lesson. Providing students with seating choices has helped them feel more comfortable, confident, and ready to learn.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the new furniture, they were excited and couldn't wait to try it out! They loved having options that made our classroom feel more inviting and welcoming. As we continue our literacy instruction this year, students will use these resources while participating in reading groups, writing workshops, and independent practice. Having flexible seating allows them to stay focused as they build their reading comprehension, writing, and communication skills.
