The book discussions amongst the students have been great, too! Hearing 5-year-olds talking about books has been fun for teachers.\r\n\r\nAgain, thank you so much for this donation. As I worked to organize them into our guided reading library, the kiddos were looking through them and discussing which ones they are the most excited to read. It was a great feeling to see my students so excited to read and look at books they will enjoy. \r\n\r\nReading is a huge part of our day in second grade. We begin the morning with reading text and completing novel studies. As the day goes by, we continue to read with decodable readers, reading instuctions, free reading for enjoyment and so much more. Second grade really is the last year students are learning to read. By third grade, there is a huge leap and students are now reading to learn. Getting books that are enjoyable for kids can be the difference in a student loving or not loving to read.\r\n\r\nThank you for this gererous donation!
