We are often found taking small trips around the school or off campus to learn about our surroundings. Many of our students come from ranching or hunting background and understanding their surroundings is important. It is something that interests them. With your donations the students can dig deeper into understanding the great outdoors of Wyoming! Thank you for your donation!\r\n\r\nWhen I first introduced our new items to the students, they were beyond excited. We explained to the students that the objects you donated would help them to better understand where their food comes from. They would learn about hunting and safety through the bows and arrows. The students will also learn about growing their own plants; fruits, vegetables, and flowers. Not only will they learn how to grow the plants, but they will also learn about the benefits of the plants to our bodies and our surroundings! \r\n\r\nAfter showing the students the items we took some time to build our planter boxes and shelving for our green house that is to come in the spring. The students had deep discussions about the different plants they would like to grow. They hope to grow watermelon and peppers to enjoy at the beginning of next year. They also want to start some flowers in our planter boxes to then be transplanted in the spring to our outdoor planter boxes to help make our school beautiful. \r\n\r\nAfter building the planter boxes the students began exploring the bows and arrows. We discussed the importance of hunting, not only to fuel our bodies with meat, but to also help wildlife survive by keeping the population of some wild animals from getting out of control. The students are learning about the positive and negative effects of the wild animals that surround our school and why people hunt. They are then practicing their shooting skills with their new bow sets. \r\n\r\nTo say your donation has had a positive impact on the students of White school would be an understatement.
