The Chompsaw has opened a new outlet for creativity in my makerspace. The kids are so excited. My students love the Chompsaw because it transforms what could be an ordinary classroom activity into something energetic and memorable. It immediately captured their attention, making it feel less like a tool and more like a character in our learning environment. When students are excited from the start, they're more eager to participate and engage with the lesson.\r\n\r\nThey're also drawn to how interactive the Chompsaw experience is. Whether we're using it to demonstrate a concept, guide a hands-on activity, or spark a discussion, the Chompsaw invites curiosity. Students enjoy the tactile, visual aspects of using it, and they often make connections more quickly because the tool helps them see and feel the ideas instead of just hearing about them. That level of interaction keeps even reluctant learners involved.\r\n\r\nFinally, the Chompsaw has become a kind of classroom mascot—something that creates a shared sense of fun and community. Students talk about it, joke about it, and even look forward to lessons where it makes an appearance. That positive emotional association boosts their motivation and helps create a classroom atmosphere where learning feels adventurous rather than routine.","fullyFundedDate":1757877558245,"projectUrl":"project/makerspace-materials-for-creativity/9708188/","projectTitle":"Makerspace Materials for Creativity","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Broadaway","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-4_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6835586"},{"teacherId":10071848,"projectId":9448098,"letterContent":"My students have absolutely loved the new materials for our classroom! They are so creative and I have so many kiddos who absolutely love to read for entertainment. Many of the new novels have already been picked up and read for silent reading time. Any time they are done with an assignment, most of them choose to read and these new books were very popular!\r\nI also got some informational and SEL books. These have been great to teach mini lessons when we have spare time, or even doing them as a part of our reading and SEL curricula. With these tools, our students will continue to grow into skilled writers who can communicate and demonstrate their knowledge effectively.\r\n\r\nIn addition, I am deeply grateful for the professional books you funded. These books will guide me in strengthening my instructional practices and leadership skills. I thought I might get 30-40 kids signed up and I thought that would be great! Well, as the applications started rolling in, I ended up with 98 students in my cooking club! \r\n My goal is to ensure that everyone gets to cook 2-3 times, so I have put these 98 students into groups of about 16. Two -three times a month, I have our cooking club and these kids come after school and we cook according to a certain \"theme\" they wanted. So far, we have cooked breakfast and they had a massive feast of homemade hashbrowns, pancakes, waffles, sausage, orange julius, and scrambled egss. I was able to provide to-go boxes so students could take their food and share it with their families too. \r\n I will forever be grateful for you helping get this project off the ground! I hope to continue impacting our kids here in Rawlins and give them some fun, life skills that they can take with them to their own home. It's been a great hit, and it wouldn't have been possible without you!","fullyFundedDate":1732208492983,"projectUrl":"project/cooking-with-ms-cline/8939298/","projectTitle":"Cooking with Ms. Cline","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Cline","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9833700_orig.png?crop=405,405,x121,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1731428901939","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9833700"},{"teacherId":6826376,"projectId":8953595,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generosity in supporting our preschool students!
