With several new students this year who require additional sensory support, the sensory items have quickly become essential tools for helping them regulate, stay engaged, and feel comfortable in their learning environment. \r\n\r\nThe sorting games and alphabet manipulatives have been especially exciting for my incoming kindergarteners, who are eager to explore hands-on activities that build early academic skills. The books are being shared across grade levels, giving all of my students opportunities to enjoy inclusive and engaging stories. Thanks to these resources, I am better equipped to support both the academic and behavioral goals of every learner in my classroom, and I am truly grateful for the positive difference they are already making.","fullyFundedDate":1757433899459,"projectUrl":"project/starting-the-year-off-right/9540806/","projectTitle":"Starting the Year Off Right","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Hepp","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-2_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9215483"},{"teacherId":9215483,"projectId":8925947,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generosity. A majority of the items you helped purchased are used every day. The alphabet organizer has quickly become a fan favorite and the wiggle foot cushion has allowed students to stay focused on class work. This project has impacted my kiddos in kindergarten all the way up through 5th grade. The books are used in social emotional lessons and allows students to see themselves in books. This is important for students to see others in books but also see themselves represented in them as well.","fullyFundedDate":1733171262375,"projectUrl":"project/building-skills-focus-and-teamwork-in/8925947/","projectTitle":"Building Skills, Focus, and Teamwork in a SPED Classroom","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Hepp","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-2_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9215483"},{"teacherId":9652488,"projectId":8642049,"letterContent":"We are incredibly grateful for your generous support of our project and the impact it has had on the intermediate students at Grant Elementary School. Thanks to your donation, our students have been able to engage in hands-on, real-world problem-solving scenarios using Dash robots and themed mats. Many of our students do not have access to this type of technology outside of school, so these resources provide them with exciting, interactive learning experiences that build critical thinking, collaboration, and communication skills. Seeing their coding come to life—whether it's designing an efficient factory, rescuing a missing pet, or cleaning up an oil spill—has made learning more engaging and meaningful for them.\r\n\r\nWe've also witnessed students who don't always thrive in traditional classroom settings truly shine with this technology. One student, who often struggles with focus, has become a leader in problem-solving challenges, eagerly helping peers troubleshoot and refine their code. Another English language learner has gained confidence in communicating ideas, as programming the robots provides a visual and interactive way to express understanding. Your generosity has not only provided valuable STEM learning opportunities but has also helped break down learning barriers and inspire creativity in ways we never imagined.\r\n\r\nThank you for making this possible for our students! Your support is truly shaping their learning experiences and future success.","fullyFundedDate":1731514642081,"projectUrl":"project/engage-innovate-and-inspire/8642049/","projectTitle":"Engage, Innovate, and Inspire!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Feidt","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9652488_orig.jpg?crop=300,300,x0,y22&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1724808856455","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9652488"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_38693","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":266,"numTeachers":20,"percentFrplEligible":34,"percentAsian":1,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":93,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":1,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"13.3:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"TOWN","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_FRINGE"},"inStateSupporters":88.0,"schoolId":38693,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Grant Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Grant Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/wisconsin/wisconsin-rapids-public-schools/grant-elementary-school/38693"}
