The hydroponic system is built and the students have chosen to plant, currently, the best herbs for the culinary class to make pizza! They are investigating what the best nutrients are for the water system and are learning each day a bit more about the upkeep and care of a hydroponic system. A lot of them are so amazed at how easy it is to maintain. We truly are so thankful for such a great opportunity.\r\n\r\nNot only is our Agricultural Science Club benefiting, but we are using the hydroponic system as a learning tool for AP Environmental Science, tech ed courses, and we even had the opportunity to display it during our STEAM night where students of our school and members of our community visited the school to see all of our student-led projects. We had several students that explained to the community (k-12 and above) about how it worked and what they were currently growing. It's been so great to see them taking ownership of this resource and I'm confident that it will continue to be an engaging and informative piece for years to come.","fullyFundedDate":1731625012055,"projectUrl":"project/the-future-of-farming/8707702/","projectTitle":"The Future of Farming","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Anderson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-9_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8752076"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_63264","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":323,"numTeachers":16,"percentFrplEligible":35,"percentAsian":2,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":84,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":11,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"6 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"20.2:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"TOWN","ncesMetroType":"TOWN_DISTANT"},"inStateSupporters":100.0,"schoolId":63264,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Williams Bay Junior Senior High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Williams Bay Junior Senior High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/wisconsin/williams-bay-school-district/williams-bay-junior-senior-high-school/63264"}
