This comprehensive program transformed me personally to feel energized, grounded, and inspired to be ready and available to love. care for, and teach 36 elementary students for the 2025-2026 school year. \r\nThe program took us through three main areas of transformation: self, relationships, and community. I quickly realized through transformation of self that I had a lot of healing to do after many moments of putting others before myself and neglecting my own self care. I was exhausted physically, mentally, and emotionally. As I look back, I feel so blessed that I was able to connect with other classmates, build trusting relationships, and open up about my own fears, worries, and thoughts that were holding me back from being my true self. All of this needed to happen in order for me to open up to learn how to transform my relationships with my students and with the community, the next two main areas of transformation. Yoga, meditation, philosophy, and social emotional learning were then woven into the foundation beautifully where l learned how to help my students' minds and bodies be in a state conducive to learning. In my current classroom, we begin each day with a morning circle to ground ourselves, set intentions, connect with each other, and move our bodies. My students are learning how to be more self aware and how to regulate and manage their emotions. Together, we are building a community of learners honoring each other and ourselves.","fullyFundedDate":1750356883279,"projectUrl":"project/feeling-energized-grounded-and-inspire/9363497/","projectTitle":"Feeling Energized, Grounded, and Inspired","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Digmann","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp1861351_orig.jpg?crop=2304,2304,x0,y322&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1747277561066","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/1861351"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_101056","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":125,"numTeachers":6,"percentFrplEligible":4,"percentAsian":9,"percentBlack":1,"percentWhite":52,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":9,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"20.8:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":90.8,"schoolId":101056,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Verona Area International School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Verona Area International School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/wisconsin/verona-area-school-district/verona-area-international-school/101056"}
