Because of you, my middle school students now have access to a variety of engaging games that make literacy practice feel like play. This has transformed our reading skill-building class (WIN), creating a lively and interactive learning environment that keeps students excited and engaged.\r\n\r\nOne of the most refreshing outcomes has been watching students eagerly choose these games during their earned free time. Despite having access to technology, many are gravitating away from screens and opting for hands-on games instead. Even more meaningful, students have been playing with classmates who aren't typically in their social groups, helping to build new friendships and foster a stronger sense of community.\r\n\r\nOur first activity, the game Double Ditto, had the entire class engaged and cheering each other on with competitive enthusiasm. Their reactions when they saw the new games were priceless—they were thrilled to dive in! \r\n\r\nAs we move forward, these games will continue to be a core part of our classroom, supporting both literacy and social skills in ways that traditional lessons can't always achieve.
