Our new art supplies have been popular! Children are loving the air dry clay. They are becoming so expressive, while also using the clay as a sensory and regulating tool. During our choice time, students are gravitating toward the clay and eager to show off their creations!\r\n\r\nWe are similarly seeing great growth in our STEM skills. The rollercoaster building has been particularly popular- through the two new games the students are brainstorming, testing out their creations, and working together to problem solve when the coaster leads to a \"crash!\" It is amazing to see these engineering skills develop, and even better when it develops amidst cooperation. When we work together, we work smarter.\r\n\r\nThe new activities have been not only popular, but impactful. We try to create a school environment where all students feel supported, welcomed, challenged, and inspired. These new activity items have gone a long way in achieving that goal.
