We have received the instruments and it has been going great! The students were able to do a different thing in music, and often the students would be in the classroom before school practicing the instrument because of the instrument. Here are some of the skills that we were able to work on because of your generosity:\r\n1. Intonation (getting the instruments in tune).\r\n2. Chord structure. This is something that is not easy to work into the band curriculum but now the students have a basic understanding of it\r\n3. Genre study. We were able to study different and diverse genres of music.\r\n4. Adding vocal work in our instrumental class. This is one of the standards in our Wisconsin State Music Standards.\r\n5. Writing music. A few of our students actually wrote their own songs with this project.\r\n\r\nThank you so much for your generosity.
