The event brought together families, Oshkosh Area School District board members, administrators, volunteers, and community members for a day of shared reading and festivities.\r\n\r\nThe celebration began as students broke into classroom groups to experience a rich variety of activities throughout the school. Over the course of the school day, students participated in thrilling drum circles hosted by Oshkosh Rhythm Institute, lively DJ and dance sessions led by DJ BWOOP (an Oshkosh North alum) and DJ Ceemore, bookmark making craft projects guided by the OASD ArtsCore coordinator and deeply impactful classroom read alouds featuring special guest readers from across the Oshkosh area community.
