It may seem strange to need a math tool in a science class, but science and math go hand in hand. We use math to analyze data and to make predictions in science, so the need for a calculator is important. \r\n This project gives students a chance to learn without stopping. If they don't have one, they would have to wait until they can access a calculator to complete their work. During a test, they would have to find a place to borrow one as they can't share during a test. Having calculators in the room allows them to continue unimpeded. They know the procedure, if they have a phone, take it from its holding spot and place it in the tray in the place of the calculator. If they do not have a phone, put their name on a card and place that in the slot.\r\n All students appreciate having access to the calculators. If they forget their calculator in their locker, they can use one of the in-class calculators. Students who do not own a calculator now have access to them when they need them.
