One of my favorite moments was watching a group of kindergarteners proudly return their instruments to the correct bins without any reminders. Because materials are now accessible and well stored, transitions are faster, giving us more time to focus on creating, performing, and responding to music. Older students are more independent and know where all materials are and grab what they need for composition classes or music technology classes without interrupting the creative process.
