Having taught in another district, I have seen first hand the access that iPads give to children. I have seen children who have never left their neighborhoods visit the Olympic village. I have guided students who began the year as "pre-readers" to research, write, and present reports on a topic of their choosing. The location of my five year-old students' neighborhood and the socio-economic status of their families must not deny them these opportunities to succeed in today's tech savvy world. My current students deserve the chance to have these experiences. With your donation, you will allow my students to write their own books, research topics, visit the pyramids at Giza, hear Maya Angelou recite a poem, listen to Mozart's sonata's being played, and collaborate with students as far away as Shanghai, China. With your donation, you will give my students the world.
