I was hoping to provide resources to help my students explore mindfulness.\r\n\r\nRight around the time I received the donations, one of my students was going through a difficult time. I showed her the giant coloring pages and markers and she got right to work at finding a spot to start her art. It is something we can continue for the rest of the year and through senior year.\r\n\r\nI have alao used some of the mindful cards for my colleagues. Shortly after I received my products, I had two students approach me about going to the library and printing out coloring sheets. You should have seen the looks on their faces when I showed them the color books that I had just gotten. They spent the rest of class time picking and coloring their sheets. There were several students around them that joined in as well. \r\nWinter gets so long and even a small activity option like this can just shift the mood of a student's day. I anticipate that these materials will get used even more as winter continues. \r\nI know that coloring books and markers seem to be such an ordinary thing, but your donation has lifted the mood of some of my students and encouraged them to just keep moving through the season. I had no idea when I ordered these in October what a huge blessing they would be in December and January.
