Your contribution has helped me start the school year strong by engaging students in hands-on learning experiences.\r\n\r\nOne of our first activities, \"Does Our School Really Know How to Recycle?\", was made possible through the purchase of a classroom recycling bin. Students learned about proper recycling practices and conducted a recycling bin \"audit\" to determine how well their peers understood what items are recyclable. They then created educational posters to display near recycling bins around the school. Through this project, students discovered that our school has very few recycling bins—an issue they now plan to address by collaborating with custodial staff and administrators to explore adding more.\r\n\r\nYour donation also allowed me to purchase a Science Take-Out kit, which provides ready-to-use, inquiry-based science lessons. My students completed the \"Disappearing Bees\" kit, learning how bees play a vital role in ecosystems and how their decline could threaten global food sources. This activity served as an engaging introduction to our Biomes and Biodiversity unit, helping students see how pollinators contribute to ecological diversity around the world.\r\n\r\nThese experiences have been incredibly meaningful for my students, helping them connect classroom learning to real-world environmental issues.
