What I mean by that is that for some students, this activity provides a mirror-- a celebration of one's self and culture. For some students, it is a window into a different perspective and culture. In this case, it is a little bit of both for all students.\r\nSo many of my students come to class excited to use these dolls, but then are disappointed due to the state of the dolls and lack and supplies.
