This donation allowed for every student to have their own folder to organize their choir music at their seat. The folders stay in my class and are shared amongst 5 sections of choir. This donation has saved an immense amount of time by allowing students to grab their folders, open and have everything they need in one spot. In the past I passed out music and collected it every class which added up to quite a bit of wasted time over the course of a the year.\r\n\r\nNot only did this save time, but my students really like having music that isn't torn apart and damaged due to wear and tear from being passed out. They finally have control over how the music they use is treated. You can tell by the faces in the pictures provided how much they enjoy having these folders.\r\n\r\nThank you again for your generosity.","fullyFundedDate":1746495518354,"projectUrl":"project/im-ready-to-sing-my-music-is-right-he/9305717/","projectTitle":"I’m Ready to Sing! These calculators provide them with the tools they need to solve complex problems more efficiently and accurately, especially when dealing with more advanced operations like exponents, logarithms, and trigonometric functions. With the calculators in hand, students no longer feel overwhelmed by tedious calculations and can focus on understanding the deeper principles behind the problems. The calculators have empowered them to explore higher-level concepts with confidence, allowing for more productive and engaging learning experiences.\r\n\r\nAdditionally, having access to a class set of scientific calculators has helped foster a more collaborative and supportive classroom environment. Students can work together more effectively during group activities, using the calculators to compare methods, solve problems, and discuss solutions in real time. This collective use of technology has not only enhanced their mathematical skills but also encouraged teamwork and communication. The calculators have become an essential part of their learning toolkit, ensuring that each student, regardless of their individual skill level, has the resources to succeed. We are truly thankful for this generous contribution, as it has made a lasting impact on my students' educational journey.","fullyFundedDate":1739455229469,"projectUrl":"project/calculating-for-success/9108561/","projectTitle":"Calculating for Success","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Stefonek","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-3_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9921224"},{"teacherId":9921224,"projectId":9108548,"letterContent":"My students are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to work on large coordinate grids in class. These expansive grids allow them to visualize mathematical concepts in a more tangible way, helping them better understand the relationships between variables and how equations translate into graphs. The size of the grids gives students ample space to work through problems, make connections, and observe patterns, which boosts their confidence and comprehension. Having such a tool at their disposal turns abstract math into something interactive and engaging, sparking curiosity and a deeper understanding of the subject.\r\n\r\nFurthermore, these large grids also encourage collaboration among students. By working together in groups, they are able to share ideas, discuss strategies, and solve problems collectively. This collaborative environment fosters communication skills and helps students approach challenges from different perspectives. As they engage in group work, they develop critical thinking abilities and learn to support each other's learning. In this way, the grids are not just a tool for mathematical exploration but also a catalyst for building teamwork, problem-solving, and analytical thinking—skills that will serve them well both in and outside the classroom.","fullyFundedDate":1739455227441,"projectUrl":"project/magnetic-coordinate-grids/9108548/","projectTitle":"Magnetic Coordinate Grids","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Stefonek","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-3_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9921224"},{"teacherId":3875554,"projectId":8017193,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for the supplies for our math classroom. Students are able to show their thinking, graph different functions and quickly see the graphs of other functions that groups have graphed around the room. Students can use the graphs to solve different types of problems in Algebra and are excited about the magnetic grids! \r\n\r\nThe use of magnetic coordinate grids also promotes standing and thinking, allowing students to move around the room as they engage with mathematical problems. By standing and interacting with the grid, students are encouraged to think critically and reflect on their problem-solving strategies from different perspectives. This physical movement supports active learning and ensures that students are not just passively sitting at their desks. The ability to see the problems evolve in real-time makes abstract concepts more accessible, helping students better visualize relationships between numbers and shapes. This dynamic classroom environment creates a space where students feel more connected to the material, each other, and their own learning process.","fullyFundedDate":1731512282102,"projectUrl":"project/magnetic-coordinate-grids-for-math-class/8641081/","projectTitle":"Magnetic Coordinate Grids for Math Class","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Van Nuland","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-8_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/3875554"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_36966","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":844,"numTeachers":57,"percentFrplEligible":24,"percentAsian":2,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":84,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":4,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"7 - 8","studentTeacherRatio":"14.8:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_MIDSIZE"},"inStateSupporters":86.7,"schoolId":36966,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Bay View Middle School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Bay View Middle School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/wisconsin/howard-suamico-school-district/bay-view-middle-school/36966"}
