This Friday was one of our first chances to get the new balls out. Students were given the opportunity to engage in an activity of their choice. Many of our students over the course of the day chose to participate in volleyball games! They organize and manage the gameplay all on their own! \r\nIt is always great to see students of different skill levels and backgrounds playing all as one simply for the love of the game. Ultimately it is a short time of the day where they just get to have fun!\r\nI cannot wait until December when we are in our volleyball unit to see the skill growth and cooperation continue!","fullyFundedDate":1789766298516,"projectUrl":"project/volleyball-for-all/10543489/","projectTitle":"Volleyball For All!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Van Schyndel","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10328093_orig.jpg?crop=394,394,x88,y110&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1767730925153","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10328093"},{"teacherId":9063757,"projectId":10026602,"letterContent":"After receiving the donations of school supplies and lock boxes, two things have happened. The first is that our review days have leveled up thanks to the breakout room activities made possible by your donation! Students are excited to come to class and really want to work together to open up the lock box. There was one specific group I remember who had most of the correct answers, but couldn't open the box. They spent time excitedly checking their classmates' work and eventually found the mistake. With no blame-placing, they figured out the error and explained the error to the student whose work it was. A cheer erupted as they finally opened the box in victory. \r\n\r\nThe other major impact I see is an increase in student organization. Now when I notice a student's backpack is a mess, I can kindly offer free folders to help them out. This usually leads them to find some assignments that are completed but not turned in. I've seen students develop organization skills thanks to the donated supplies. I cannot thank you enough for your generosity. It truly matters to us.","fullyFundedDate":1770337701691,"projectUrl":"project/increase-engagement-in-high-school-math/10026602/","projectTitle":"Increase Engagement in High School Math Class!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Ahrens","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9063757_orig.jpg?crop=2316,2316,x0,y386&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1718237452147","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9063757"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_36964","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":769,"numTeachers":69,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":9,"percentBlack":14,"percentWhite":34,"percentIndigenous":3,"percentLatinx":28,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","percentHawaiianImputed":0,"percentMultiracialImputed":9,"gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"11.1:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_MIDSIZE"},"inStateSupporters":75.0,"schoolId":36964,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about West High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"West High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/wisconsin/green-bay-area-public-school-district/west-high-school/36964"}
