Having a designated space to gather helps my students practice important skills such as listening, taking turns, participating with peers, and following classroom routines in an environment that feels safe and inviting.\r\n\r\nMy students benefit from having a comfortable space where they can learn alongside one another while still having their individual needs supported. The new rug helps make our classroom feel more welcoming and gives us a special place to connect, learn, and celebrate successes together. For my students, even small changes to the classroom environment can make a meaningful difference in their daily learning experiences.\r\n\r\nMoving forward, we will continue using our new rug for daily group instruction, interactive lessons, social stories, and activities that encourage communication and peer interaction.
