Students were super excited to see a variety of seating arrangements! Instead of being confined to traditional desks, they chose these comfortable spots, which help them feel more relaxed and engaged. This comfort has reduced distractions and makes reading feel less like a chore and more like an enjoyable activity. Students in my room have been more motivated to pick up a book and read! \r\n\r\nAnother way the seating additions have improved my classroom reading environment is by fostering collaboration and independence. Students can choose to sit in quiet areas for independent reading or in group spaces to discuss texts with their peers. This adaptability has allowed me to create different reading experiences, from focused silent reading to interactive book talks.
