As soon as I got the tent, lights, floor cushions, and calming tools set up, my students began immediately gravitating towards those objects. Many of my students have sensory processing and self-regulation needs, So having a space and tools designed specifically to support those needs made them feel safe, values, and understood. \r\n\r\nThe blackout tent and inflatable sensory \"boat\" have become favorite calming spaces for students who need deep pressure input or a quieter environment to reset. Instead of feeling overstimulated and frustrated, students now have positive coping tools they can access throughout the day.
