It is wonderful to watch students eagerly share recommendations with classmates and become excited about reading.\r\n\r\nSeveral students who were once hesitant readers are especially enjoying the new books. Having each shelf designated to a math category and then each tub or container labeled has made using hands on math a much easier option for my lessons. \r\nIt has an added bonus of when a student needs intervention for a certain topic the needed manipulative are handy to grab and take to the intervention corner where the small group and myself can have a chance to learn or fill in the gaps.\r\nI never dreamed how much I would appreciate it. The binder has been a great tool to have for my classroom. So far I have turned a messy folder into a morphology workbook for each of my 27 students. No more loose papers. I created myself a book with all my state standards in and each family received a smaller bound book with all the important information sent out by our county and school. Yesterday I created a file folder for each student so I can store their writing and art papers throughout the year and at the end of the year they will get a sort of fifty grade yearbook. Obviously painting the canvases and the Japanese snacks were probably the biggest hits. I ended up having enough canvases left over so that next years group can have a painting day. The Japanese snacks were enjoyed one at a time and the students described what they had picked out. It made for a couple of fun afternoons. I saved the drinks for field day and that was very helpful. I appreciate you donating to making our last week of school enjoyable and tasty at the same time.
