The students were amazingly engaged as they put on their safety gear to begin experimenting. I obtained water from the river source nearby and we used that to test. \r\nI created a slide show about the origin and treatment of their local water source. After viewing they suited up and tested samples in small groups. The same tests from the Tap Water Tour kit from Lamotte were repeated on a sample of water from each of their homes that they brought in. We tested the pH, and levels of copper, chlorine, and water hardness. \r\nI continued this lesson at 3 of my other schools, one middle and two elementary.
