They've been eagerly creating beautiful keychains for our upcoming art fair. The joy and creativity these materials have sparked in our classroom are truly inspiring. The students' smiles and enthusiasm are a testament to how much these resources mean to them. With these craft materials we are able to expand the art program. \r\n\r\nI was able to accomplish the art of beading and keychain making in my classroom due to the donated materials. Most importantly my students gained crafting knowledge and extreme excitement over the art of crafting. We are sending a thank you package that includes a handmade beaded keychain made by one of our students. We cannot express the gratitude we have for the donated supplies! These new texts have opened the door to so many important skills and lessons. Through them, my students are practicing comprehension strategies, learning how to analyze characters and themes, and making connections between what they read and their own lives. Many of the books also lend themselves to discussions about empathy, resilience, and making choices. These are skills that matter not just in the classroom but in everyday life.\r\n\r\nIn our classroom, reading looks like engagement and choice. Students gather around our new bookshelves, browse the covers, and talk with each other about what they want to read next. Some prefer to read quietly on their own, while others enjoy partner reading or small group discussions. The new books have given them more variety and sparked conversations that help them become thoughtful and confident readers.\r\n\r\nOne student in particular, who was often reluctant to read, has found a favorite series in the library and now asks if he can read during free time. Another student who has struggled with comprehension has been able to practice retelling the plot of one of the new stories and proudly shared it with the class. These moments remind me of the power of having the right book in a student's hands at the right time.\r\n\r\nYour donation has made this possible, and I cannot thank you enough.
