The flexible seating quickly became one of the most loved additions to our classroom. When my students first saw the new seating options, they were excited and eager to use them. The comfortable seating transformed our classroom library into a welcoming space where students genuinely wanted to spend time reading, learning, and collaborating with their peers.\r\n\r\nThroughout the year, students used the flexible seating during independent reading, partner discussions, and small-group activities. I noticed that many students were able to stay focused longer and were more engaged in their learning when they had a comfortable place to work. Some of my reluctant readers even began choosing to spend more time in our library area because it felt inviting and relaxing. It was rewarding to watch students grab a book and settle into a space where they felt comfortable and ready to learn.\r\n\r\nBecause of your generosity, I was able to create a learning environment that supports both academic growth and student well-being. The flexible seating will continue to benefit future students as they participate in novel studies, independent reading, and collaborative learning activities. Since we received the books toward the end of the school year, this was the only novel we had time to complete, but it quickly became a favorite among many of my students.\r\n\r\nThrough this novel study, students practiced important reading skills such as making inferences, analyzing characters, identifying themes, expanding vocabulary, and supporting their ideas with evidence from the text. The story led to meaningful discussions about friendship, family, choices, and the value of life. It was wonderful to watch students become engaged in the story, make connections to the characters, and eagerly share their thoughts during our class discussions.\r\n\r\nWhile we only had time to read Tuck Everlasting this year, I am excited to use the remaining novels with future groups of students next school year.
