Receiving towels and sunscreen through Donors Choose was a blessing for our program. We were able to provide access to 24 beach towels and enough sunscreen for all students.\r\n\r\nEach day staff heard, \"I need a towel for the pool.\" We loaned out towels, washed them after use, and distributed them for the next kid that needed to borrow one. It was a great feeling to be able to provide what kids needed to enjoy the pool. Sometimes we take for granted the small things in life.\r\n\r\nSunscreen was also provided for students to protect themselves during the hot, summer sun. It was packed during each trip for the pool. Staff made sure that kids used it frequently and were taught the dangers of sun exposure.\r\n\r\nThe towels have been placed in storage for use next summer along with some left over sunscreen.
