From the moment it arrived, my students were excited to have a special place where we could gather together. Whether we are learning, sharing ideas, reading, having class discussions, or simply taking a short break together, the rug has given us a comfortable and welcoming space to come together as a class.\r\n\r\nWe use the rug regularly during our lessons. Sometimes I will gather my students there before introducing a new topic, allowing us to begin a lesson together before moving back to our desks for independent work. Other times, we use it for read-alouds, class discussions, vocabulary activities, morning meetings, and partner activities. Young children have a hard time learning when their tummies are growling, so having snacks readily available has helped us create a more comfortable and supportive learning environment for everyone.\r\n\r\nThese donations have also helped us build a classroom where our students feel cared for, supported, and ready to learn. We are able to provide snacks throughout the school day when students need an extra boost of energy, without placing an additional financial burden on their families. Something as simple as a snack can bring a huge smile to a kindergartner's face and help them feel safe and cared for at school. Your generosity has helped ensure that each child has something special that is truly their own, while also helping meet a basic need throughout their school day. Most importantly, your kindness has reminded my students that there are people who care about them, believe in them, and want to see them succeed.\r\n\r\nThe water bottles have quickly become a favorite part of our classroom! My students absolutely love having access to their own water bottle throughout the day. Having water readily available helps them stay hydrated, comfortable, and ready to learn. For some of our students, having a water bottle at school is something they may not otherwise have access to consistently. Watching their excitement when they received their bottles was incredibly heartwarming. They were proud to have one of their own and loved being able to use it throughout the school day. Something as simple as a water bottle has provided both a practical resource and a little sense of independence for my students. They are learning to take responsibility for their belongings, remember to drink water, and care for something that was given specifically to them. Your donation has become a small but important part of our daily classroom routine.\r\n\r\nThe birthday gifts have been especially meaningful because every child deserves to feel celebrated on their special day. For some of our students, receiving a birthday gift may not always be something they can count on at home. Having a special gift waiting for them at school makes their birthday feel extra special and reminds them that their classmates, teachers, and community are celebrating them. The excitement on their faces when they receive their birthday gift is something I wish every donor could see firsthand. They light up with happiness, and for a moment, they get to experience the excitement of opening something chosen especially for them. These gifts have helped create beautiful birthday memories and have made each child feel valued, loved, and important. In kindergarten, those feelings matter tremendously. The students love using the laminated sheets to practice their alphabet and numbers.
