The oohs and ahhs from my students filled the room as I revealed each item and shared how it would be used in our writing center.\r\n\r\nThe stickers have quickly become a favorite and are now the most popular part of our independent writing center. Students eagerly choose a sticker and use it to create a setting for their writing. Many are demonstrating their knowledge of using sounds to write sentences, while others are proudly labeling their pictures as they continue to grow as writers.\r\n\r\nI have also loved reading the books you donated to my kinders. Read-alouds go hand-in-hand with writing, and through powerful words and stories, my students are beginning to realize that they, too, can be great authors and illustrators.\r\n\r\nI truly appreciate each and every donation made toward this project.
