Before having access to adaptive equipment, many basic cooking tasks posed challenges and potential risks. With tools such as a non-slip cutting board, ergonomic utensils, and safer cutting implements, he is now able to navigate the kitchen with greater confidence and control. These supports have significantly reduced the risk of injury and created a safe environment where he can focus on learning and enjoying the process of cooking.\r\n\r\nHaving access to these specialized kitchen tools has removed limitations that once held him back. He is able to fully participate in cooking activities alongside his peers, experiencing the same opportunities to learn, create, and succeed. This inclusion has had a positive impact on his motivation and engagement, reinforcing the belief that he is capable and deserving of success. Overall, these tools have not only improved his safety and independence but have also opened the door to meaningful growth and lifelong skills. Instead of focusing on arithmetic, students can concentrate on understanding formulas, analyzing relationships, and applying critical thinking skills to solve real-world problems.\r\n\r\nIn addition, the calculators have improved both accuracy and confidence among students. IB Physics requires precision in calculations, especially when working with measurements, uncertainties, and scientific notation. With reliable tools, the students are able to check their work more efficiently and feel more assured in their answers. This increased confidence encourages participation, risk-taking in problem solving, and a stronger willingness to tackle challenging material.\r\n\r\nOverall, access to new scientific calculators has created a more equitable and supportive learning environment. All students now have the tools they need to succeed in a demanding, college-level course. This has led to greater engagement, deeper understanding, and improved preparedness for future academic pursuits beyond high school.","fullyFundedDate":1768783955392,"projectUrl":"project/providing-the-tools-they-need-to-be-succ/9953154/","projectTitle":"Providing the Tools They Need to be Successful!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Smith","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10380050_orig.jpg?crop=960,960,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1765344555153","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10380050"},{"teacherId":10343068,"projectId":9878421,"letterContent":"I would like to personally thank you so much for providing my students with these two fantastic novels. My underclassmen saw the upperclassman reading \"Hatchet\" and are excited to read the novel next year. My underclassmen also thoroughly enjoyed \"The Phantom Toll Booth\" and Milo's adventure through figurative language. This was the perfect setup for a novel study before going into our poetry unit. \r\n\r\nBringing interesting stories into the classroom has gotten harder and harder over the years, but these two classic novels were able to connect with my students in ways that I did not think were possible. Not only did they comprehend the themes and values from these stories come up but they also connected with the characters and saw themselves in these stories, which in my opinion is so much more important than just understanding the plot line. I have a feeling that many of my students will take these stories and the lessons they learned in them with them as they go out into the grown up world. My hope is that they choose to share these stories with not only their friends and family members but also their children. \r\n\r\nI would especially like to think Humble Bundle for providing my classroom with these books. Having access to these books in the classroom has made a huge difference. I'm looking forward to partnering with them again on other novels that I know my students will enjoy and take with them throughout their adulthood.","fullyFundedDate":1763492396933,"projectUrl":"project/classic-stories-for-challenged-readers/9878421/","projectTitle":"Classic Stories for Challenged Readers","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Lyons","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-5_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10343068"},{"teacherId":8166653,"projectId":9701712,"letterContent":"Thank you for your generous contribution to provide art supplies for Foss High School students! \r\n\r\nI now teach both an intro to art course as well as International Baccalaureate (IB) Visual Arts--a college level studio course.
