Fourth graders need room to spread out their writing, work through math problems, read, and collaborate. When materials have a place off the tabletop, students have more room for the learning in front of them. The carts also provide an accessible place to return supplies when an activity is finished. Instead of relying on one central storage area for everything, we can keep materials near the students who need them. This setup supports smoother transitions and makes it easier to prepare for the next part of our day. Also having a consistent home for supplies can be especially helpful for students who benefit from clear routines. \r\n\r\nThe carts also help us connect organization with teamwork. Because each table shares its storage space, students have opportunities to practice being considerate of one another.
