My students could not believe that someone who didn't even know them would donate to help them be successful. When I first brought them out, they all wanted to give them a try. They now sit at the front of our classroom and are an option for students if they feel they need extra support focusing on task. Now that state testing has started, these stools have proven priceless in their success.
