The students loved getting to open up all the new items. We took time to rotate through all the new materials and just explore and play with them. \r\n These materials all directly support our newly adopted literacy curriculum. As we were opening up and exploring the items I heard so much excitement from the students saying things like, \"This goes with our Weather Unit,\" \"This goes with Farms and Plants,\" or \"This goes with Kings and Queens.\" It was a really great day for the students to review past units and give me ideas on how the materials can be incorporated into the upcoming years teaching. \r\n The collaboration and communication between the kids as they were exploring these new items was amazing. It was incredible hearing them retell Nursery Rhymes and using some of the figures and props. They worked together to build castles and problem solved different ideas. I heard students using the little diorama trees and sorting them into deciduous or evergreen forests and helping each other remember the difference between the two types of trees. \r\n Thank you so much for all of these materials. They will be used for many years to help bring hands on connections to our learning, build communication and collaboration skills and most of all foster the excitement to explore.
