Your generosity has brought so much excitement to our classroom, and it has been incredible to watch their love of reading continue to grow.\r\n\r\nReading is one of the most important parts of our day. We gather together for interactive read-alouds where we practice making predictions, retelling stories, identifying characters and settings, asking questions, and making connections to our own lives. We also spend time reading in partnerships, exploring books independently, and building foundational reading skills through phonics and sight words. These new books have given my students even more opportunities to practice those skills while staying engaged and excited.\r\n\r\nOne of my favorite moments is watching students who were once hesitant to pick up a book now eagerly race to our classroom library to find one of the new titles. Several students have even asked to reread their favorites multiple times, proudly pointing out words they recognize or retelling the story to their classmates. Seeing their confidence grow with every page is one of the most rewarding parts of teaching.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has done so much more than add books to our shelves—it has helped create joyful reading experiences and fostered a lifelong love of learning.
