In a special education classroom, technology is not just a tool—it is a bridge to independence, confidence, and success.\r\n\r\nAssistive technology empowers my students by providing personalized and accessible learning experiences. Tools such as communication devices (AAC), speech-to-text and text-to-speech programs, and interactive adaptive software allow students to express themselves, participate in lessons, and engage with the curriculum alongside their peers. These supports help reduce frustration, increase focus, and build essential academic and social skills.\r\n\r\nMost importantly, this technology helps my students make meaningful progress toward their Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals.
